Online Q&A with Oli
Miranda: How was the Canadian tour with Disturbed?
Oli: The Canadian tour was pretty epic. There were thousands of fans all with their fists in the the air and they were very open to different genres of metal.
Miranda: Was the European summer festivals fun for you guys? How did they all go? Did the crowd respond well to you guys?
Oli: It was fun for me personally. Most of them were fantastic and the crowd responded very well most of the time.
Miranda: Have you met some interesting fans?
Oli: Yes, I can not think of specific examples right now but there are some dedicated fans that can always stand out.
Miranda: Do either of you guys have a most memorable moment from those tours? Or even from the RoTR tour?
Oli: The Moscow show. It was the first time in the country and the fans were extremely rabid. They were begging us to come back.
Miranda: I know Mayhem has just started but how has the festival been so far?
Oli: It has been quite good. There is a vast array of fans out there and we are doing daily signings and there are a lot of people there every time. It is great to meet everybody. The only downside is the extreme heat.
Miranda: What type of daily activities do you guys do, do you hang out with the guys from the other bands during the down times during set up and shows?
Oli: The activities vary each day. A lot of the guys lift weights, I like to ride my back (bike?). We have been hanging out with the guys in Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse and God Forbid quite a lot. Doc and Adam impart their worldly wisdom each day.
Miranda: I've heard the crowds in other countries tend to be a little more crazier than in the states is that so?
Oli: No necessarily. It depends on which country. Scandinavia is always pretty awesome. Southern Europe seems to be a little more restrained. The states vary from state to state.
Miranda: Has Phil grown to love the song Relinquish yet? LOL!
Oli: No he still doe not love it.
Miranda: I noticed on one of your online video interviews you guys enjoy a friendly little game of Rock Band and Guitar Hero? Do you find it hard to play the game controller instruments?
Oli: No, not at all. It is not an easy game but it is fun and easy enough to pick up if you are an actual guitar player.
Miranda: One last thing, would you like to say anything to the fans?
Oli: Thanks for all your continued support and coming out to see us. If you are coming to Mayhem Festival this summer, we play at around 4:15p each day and do a signing at the Rockstar Tent immediately after our set so come out and see us. We would love to meet you and stay metal!
