ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL Family and Veterans from ‘Hope For The Warriors®’ to Ride in World-Famous ‘Rolling Thunder Memorial Day’ Observance Motorcycle Rally on May 29th, 2011 in Washington, DC

David Draiman of DISTURBED to Film Awareness PSA

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL, the heralded hard rock and metal event of the summer, is swiftly becoming the heavy music fans’ summertime rite of passage.  The festival will make a 26 date trek across the country beginning on July 9th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. Tickets are on sale now, so check in at www.rockstarmayhemfest.com and www.livenation.com for any updates to current ticketing information.

The ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL is proud to announce ‘METAL OF HONOR’, an awareness and fundraising effort focused on the needs and challenges of our active duty military, veterans and their families. The ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL has partnered with Hope For The Warriors® and The Pathway Home, both national not-for-profit organizations.

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL producers John Reese and Kevin Lyman state, “Giving back and showing gratitude to those that have sacrificed for all of us and those who continue to sacrifice is the message we want to spread.”

Hope For The Warriors® is thrilled to be a part of the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL and to work with these patriotic bands and their fans,” states Robin Kelleher, President of Hope For The Warriors®.  “Just as these bands collaborate, we are proud to collaborate with the Pathway Home and other nonprofit organization that support our military families.”

A portion of the proceeds of each ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL ticket sold will go to Hope For The Warriors® and The Pathway Home to further aid them in continuing their necessary work.   In addition, the ‘METAL OF HONOR’ awareness campaign will include wrapping one of the tour’s semi trucks with logos of the charities, providing nationwide exposure on major highways throughout North America for over six weeks, and a text-to-donate campaign to encourage our patrons to donate as well as inviting radio stations across the nation to get involved by offering each of them their own text word. Additional social media outreach efforts will be utilized to bring the message to rock music lovers worldwide.  ‘METAL OF HONOR’ will also have an onsite presence at each festival date highlighting Hope For The Warriors® and The Pathway Home along with other ways the patron can get involved in their own communities.

The Pathway Home is excited to partner with the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL in helping us bring further awareness of the impact of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other combat-related stressors on military personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan,” states Fred Gusman, MSW / Founder and Executive Director of The Pathway Home.  “We’re incredibly grateful to the thousands of fans and the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL team who may not know that their passion can help us be part of the solution for those military personnel who face the diagnosis of PTSD and TBI.”

Unite The United Foundation is also taking part in assisting the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL ‘METAL OF HONOR’ awareness and fundraising effort by implementing their “Salvage For Soldiers” program during this summer’s festival. Throughout the summer, Unite The United Foundation will salvage all broken or damaged instruments, stage clothes and other gear used and donated by performers of the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL during the tour. All of these donated collectors’ items will be autographed by the performers and sold through the Unite The United Foundation charity auction on eBay. Please see the Unite The United Foundation eBay page for complete listings and new items posted throughout the summer: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/unitetheunited. Proceeds from the sale of these one-of-a-kind items will be allocated to the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVALMETAL OF HONOR’ awareness and fundraising effort, focused on the needs and challenges of our active duty military veterans and their families.

“The warriors of this generation who have been fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan come home with many needs,” adds Steve Robinson, a retired Army Ranger and noted veterans advocate. “The government alone cannot possibly take care of all of the issues that returning veterans have.  For this reason, it brings us hope when the community reaches out and embraces the returning veteran and tries to give them the help they need.  The METAL OF HONOR campaign is a powerful example of what can be done when people take one step to help those who have sacrificed so much for this nation.

Steve adds, “As a veteran and a long time veterans advocate, I’m excited to see the impact that will be generated from this awareness campaign.  I believe the money raised to support The Pathway Home and Hope For The Warriors® will save lives. The programs they provide are critical to addressing returning veterans’ needs.  It is important to support those who have served and may soon come home from war.  It’s the least we can do as a grateful nation.”

Further information on these awareness programs will be posted at www.rockstarmayhemfest.com in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned for up-to-date information coming soon.

This year, the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL is offering two special VIP packages at this link.  ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL VIP packages not only provide seats close to the stage, but fans also get early entry inside the venue, access to the Rockstar Lounge, an exclusive ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL skate deck, limited edition tour poster, laminate, custom guitar picks and more.  Head to this link to view different special VIP package items.

This summer’s mainstage artists, DISTURBED, GODSMACK, and MEGADETH, will be joined by a ferocious mix of the best hard rock and metal artists of today.  For the first time in festival history, through their success, MACHINE HEAD, IN FLAMES, and TRIVIUM have grown through the ranks to now perform on the mainstage in rotating slots throughout the tour. This year sees the return of festival veterans DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, TRIVIUM, and SUICIDE SILENCE. The JAGERMEISTER stage will feature UNEARTH, KINGDOM OF SORROW, RED FANG, and the winners of JAGERMEISTER Battle of the Bands. The Extreme Stage will spotlight SUICIDE SILENCE, ALL SHALL PERISH and STRAIGHT LINE STITCH.

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL attendees can enjoy a plethora of festival activities, including perusing vendors, attending autograph signing sessions and a slew of other interactive activities that enhance the concert experience.  It’s a 10 hour trip to heavy nirvana.

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL is produced by Rockstar Taste of Chaos organizer John Reese, Vans Warped Tour founder and MusiCares MAP Fund “From the Heart Award” recipient Kevin Lyman and Creative Artists Agency.  The trio has made the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL a standout on the summer concert circuit by following the proven model of utilizing sponsorship to deliver a lower ticket price and an enhanced concert experience. This year sees them joining forces once again with ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK as the title sponsor.

In 2008, the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL bulldozed onto the scene and quickly made itself known as the preeminent summer destination for the hard rock and metal community.  ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL boasts the most powerful artist line-ups in heavy music.  Artists who have performed in ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL’s past include hard music legends SLAYER, SLIPKNOT, MARILYN MANSON, KORN, ROB ZOMBIE, LAMB OF GOD, HATEBREED, CANNIBAL CORPSE, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, MASTODON, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and many more.  All have pummeled the stage, while delivering the intensity and heaviness that fans have grown to expect year after year.

See below for all current tour dates. When viewing, fans should take notice of the line-up changes on the San Bernardino, Mountain View and Montreal dates.  On July 9th in San Bernardino, CA, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim’s metal cartoon phenomenon DETHKLOK will perform in the place of MEGADETH, and colossal Bay Area thrash kings TESTAMENT will perform in the place of IN FLAMESTESTAMENT will also perform in the place of IN FLAMES on the July 10th Mountain View, CA date.  HATEBREED is now scheduled to perform with the festival in the place of TRIVIUM on August 5th in Tinley Park, IL, August 6th in Clarkston, MI, and August 7th in Noblesville, IN.  MEGADETH will not be appearing on the Montreal, QC Heavy MTL date.  Other bands will be announced for Heavy MTL soon.  Go to www.heavymtl.com for further information.

Festivals

by Shane on Jul.22, 2010, under Avenged Seven Fold, Band News, Concert Dates, Concert News, Mayhem Fest, The-Voices.net

We are hitting up the following festivals this summer. If you’ve been to any of them, let us know how you like ‘em, and if you are going let us know.

We always accept free drinks

July 23, 2010 – Carnival of Madness (Shinedown, 10 Years, Sevendust, and more), Knoxville, TN
August 1st, 2010 – Mayhem Festival (KoRn, FFDP, Hatebreed, 3 Inches of Blood, and many more) Atlanta, GA
September 3, 2010 – Uproar Festival (Halestorm, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Hellyeah, Avenged Sevenfold, Airbourne, and more).

These three festivals are going to be absolutely insane. They all have their own amazing lineups and genres. If you can catch all 3 tours, I suggest doing it. But if you have to choose just one, Mayhem Fest is your in your face metal, Carnival of Madness is your alternative rock, and Uproar is a little in between. Like I said, all three tours are going to be amazing, and you’re missing out if you miss any of them. Hopefully we will see you guys there.

07.24.10 Update – just got back from the Carnival of Madness, and the event lived up to the name, and then some. For those of you I met in Knoxville, it was awesome meeting some other fans, photographers, and everyone else. I’ll have photos and reviews up this weekend. It was totally worth the three and a half hours of driving on three hours of sleep to see those five absolutely fantastic bands. If you can’t tell, the review is going to be somewhat positive.

Oh and to the chick I bumped into and almost knocked down the stairs, I’m sorry for running into you, it was an accident.

Stone Sour Summer/Fall tour dates

by Shane on May.11, 2010, under Band News, Concert Dates, Concert News, Newest, The-Voices.net

Stone Sour is finishing up the final touches on their upcoming release, Audio Secrecy. This means two very awesome things. 1) we get some new Stone Sour, and 2) they will be touring.

I got to catch Stone Sour at one of the Family Values tours and they were great. This isn’t one of those bands that just sound good on CD and when you see them live you realize you just paid way too much for the tickets. There are still a few venues that are to be determined, so if your city isn’t on the list then there is still a chance that it may end up on the list once it’s finalized.
