Festivals

We are hitting up the following festivals this summer. If you’ve been to any of them, let us know how you like ‘em, and if you are going let us know.

We always accept free drinks

July 23, 2010 – Carnival of Madness (Shinedown, 10 Years, Sevendust, and more), Knoxville, TN
August 1st, 2010 – Mayhem Festival (KoRn, FFDP, Hatebreed, 3 Inches of Blood, and many more) Atlanta, GA
September 3, 2010 – Uproar Festival (Halestorm, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Hellyeah, Avenged Sevenfold, Airbourne, and more).

These three festivals are going to be absolutely insane. They all have their own amazing lineups and genres. If you can catch all 3 tours, I suggest doing it. But if you have to choose just one, Mayhem Fest is your in your face metal, Carnival of Madness is your alternative rock, and Uproar is a little in between. Like I said, all three tours are going to be amazing, and you’re missing out if you miss any of them. Hopefully we will see you guys there.

07.24.10 Update – just got back from the Carnival of Madness, and the event lived up to the name, and then some. For those of you I met in Knoxville, it was awesome meeting some other fans, photographers, and everyone else. I’ll have photos and reviews up this weekend. It was totally worth the three and a half hours of driving on three hours of sleep to see those five absolutely fantastic bands. If you can’t tell, the review is going to be somewhat positive.

Oh and to the chick I bumped into and almost knocked down the stairs, I’m sorry for running into you, it was an accident.

Stone Sour Summer/Fall tour dates

Stone Sour is finishing up the final touches on their upcoming release, Audio Secrecy. This means two very awesome things. 1) we get some new Stone Sour, and 2) they will be touring.

I got to catch Stone Sour at one of the Family Values tours and they were great. This isn’t one of those bands that just sound good on CD and when you see them live you realize you just paid way too much for the tickets. There are still a few venues that are to be determined, so if your city isn’t on the list then there is still a chance that it may end up on the list once it’s finalized.

And to my friends North of the Boarder, yes Stone Sour is coming to Canada too.

————————————————————————-

I can tell you now, Papa Roach puts on one hell of a show. If you do have a chance to see them, do it. If you are a huge fan of theirs, then the VIP packages might really be worth it for you, or a loved one that is really into them. I’m not sure of the cost but they are usually fairly expensive ($100+) but it will be a night to remember.

If I get any updates on this tour, I’ll post ‘em. We will be at the May 22nd show in Ohio for Rock on the Range. Hopefully we’ll see you there.

Cage The Elephant Tops The Alternative Songs Chart

Newest Single “Back Against The Wall” Hits #1

New York, NY- Cage The Elephant tops the charts with “Back Against the Wall” which claims the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart this week.

This is no small feat for the Bowling Green, KY based band that has sold over 250K records since their self-titled debut less than one year ago. Cage The Elephant’s current headlining tour includes two New York area sold-out shows, the Bowery Ballroom on March 2nd and the Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 4th.
