Time For A Change – Chapter 5
Stacey leaned up against the door and smiled as she thought about the kiss she had just shared with Joey. She then let out a small yawn and started walking towards her bedroom as she unbuttoned her jeans and flipping off the living room light switch as she walked out of the living room into her bedroom.
Stacey stopped at the foot of her bed, continued to strip down, and grabbed her bathrobe off the hope chess at the foot of her bed. She turned and walked into the bathroom and reached into the shower and turned the water on adjusting it to the right temperature.
Stacey turned off the shower, stepped out wrapping herself in her bathrobe, and walked back into her bedroom. She seen her cell phone status light blinking red meaning she had missed a call or text message. Stacey picked up her phone and noticed she had missed a text message from Joey. She smiled and quickly read it:
I can still taste your lip-gloss on my lips …. Thank you for a very special night. I will call you tomorrow. – Joey.
Stacey smiled and giggled a little as she towel dried her hair and let her robe fall to her feet as she crawled into her bed and turned out the bedroom lamp.
The alarm clock on her nightstand started beeping as she opened her eyes and glared at it.
“SHIT!” She yelled as she jumped up out of bed
“I’m gonna be late …. FUCK ME!” Stacey bitched as she raced to her bedroom closet
Stacey quickly got dressed, brushed her hair, and ran through the living room grabbing her cell phone, purse, and keys on the way out the door. She jumped into her car and started the engine and drove quickly to the music store as she got there and parked she jumped out of her car and raced inside. She ran right passed Tony, Corey, Mick, Sid, and Joey not noticing them standing there talking about the tour and some supplies they may need out on the road.
“Gooood Morning Early Bird’ Tony called after her
“I Know I know I’m ALMOST late” she remarked as she punched in to work
Stacey then turned around seeing the guys standing there …. Stacey’s eyes met Joeys and her cheeks turned a pale shade of pink.
“Hello guys” Stacey said with a smile
“Good morning Stacey” Corey and Mick said in unison
“Good morning Stace” Joey said smirking at her
Stacey walked over to the guys and looked at the pile of boxes and cables sitting on the floor next to them.
“Supplies for the road?” she inquired
“Yup,” Corey answered
She smiled and looked at Joey as her cheek burned a pale pink once again. The she turned and went to the back of the store for a cart to load the supplies on.
“Stacey, I think I have a small assignment for you.” Tony mentioned
“What is that Tony?” she questioned as she helped the guys load the boxes onto the cart.
“Well, Corey was just telling me they are looking for someone to help run sound and some other things while they are out on tour,” Tony said.
“And you’re the first person I could think of for the opportunity, and you’re a responsible person.” Tony said as her looked at her.
Stacey stood there staring at Tony with her jaw hanging wide open. Joey reached over and pushed her chin up with his hand, as he smiled at her.
“Well?” Corey chimed in…
“Yes I would love the opportunity,” Stacey stuttered.
“GREAT!” Corey stated, before he continued, “Go home pack your bags, because we leave in an hour” he mentioned.
