JOEY JORDISON PROJECT TO RELEASE FIRST NEW ALBUM IN 8 YEARS
WOMEN AND CHILDREN LAST DUE OUT THIS SUMMER
New York, NY: Just when you thought all the fun was gone from rock music, you thought wrong, because the inimitable Murderdolls are back, emerging from a dormant period with their middle fingers to the sky, tongues planted firmly in their cheeks and ready to call out those that haunt today’s predictable musical landscape. Their first album in eight years, entitled Women and Children Last, is set for release this summer through Roadrunner Records.
Murderdolls are the Frankenstein brainchild of Joey Jordison and partner-in-grime, Wednesday 13. The band sees Joey step away from his day job and masked role behind the kit in Slipknot to playing a low-slung lead guitar, while Wednesday serves as the frontman in their macabre rock ‘n’ roll circus. The duo are ready to breathe new life into the project with a brand new line-up, while their ‘fuck you’ attitude, devilish glamour and trademark black sense of humor remain firmly in tact. Joey and Wednesday are excited to bring back their revamped musical monster, exclaiming, “We don’t look at this as a return…this is REVENGE! The music scene today is as boring and stale as it was in 2002, when we first formed the band. This time around, everyone is the enemy!”
Comments Joey, “We’ve waited eight years to make sure, but this is the perfect time to bring Murderdolls back to the world. We’ve got nothing to lose and nothing to prove. So raise your fist along with us motherfuckers and sorry if you get a bloody nose along the way. It’s about to get ugly! Women and Children Last!!!”
Murderdolls first gate-crashed the scene in 2002, hammering one final nail into nu-metal’s coffin and building a formidable fanbase of loyal ‘ghoulscouts’ with their single, ‘Dead in Hollywood’ and their twisted take on the Billy Idol anthem, ‘White Wedding.’
The band caused a stir across the pond in the UK, headlining the 5500-capacity Brixton Academy, as their debut album, Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls, earned a silver certification in the country. The band also picked up the “Best Newcomer” award at the inaugural Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.
Murderdolls are in an undisclosed Los Angeles studio now, laying down tracks for Women and Children Last. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

4/5/10 – Shane – This CD is going to be fucking amazing. Right now we don’t know the official lineup of the new Murderdolls other than Wednesday 13 and Joey Jordison but if they are sticking with their roots, and everything. This is going to be a CD that will blow your mind.
As Joey Jordison said, “Fuck formula! Fuck the norm!”

Fucking awesome
Wow has it really been 8 years? I can’t wait to hear their new stuff
Same here I’m interested to see what they come out with … I hope the tour our way so we can see them in action
Awesome do u no if the other slipknot members r goin back 2 there side projex
I know Corey Taylor and James Root is recording with Stone Sour for a new album.
I’m assuming Sid is doing the DJ Starscream thing.
I’m not positive on the Dirty Little Rabbits, but I’m sure Clown is working with them. They seem to be workaholics so I don’t see a break slowing any of them down.
As for the other four members, I have no idea about their side projects. But they’ve been touring almost constantly for almost three years now, they could use a break.
So Wednesday on the vocals, Joey on the drums, who are the other members going to be or is it just those two?
Joey does the guitar for Murderdolls.
I’m sure they will be a four or five person band.

In February 2010, whilst embarking on a solo tour in Australia, Wednesday 13 spoke with Drum Media saying “Right now, it’s the worst week, and I keep getting asked that question: ‘What are my future plans? The next step after this?’ It’s kind of hard to say. We’re possibly going to do another Wednesday record, record it in the summer and have it out around Halloween. Or the other option is… we’re in talks right now to do another Murderdolls album. So right now I don’t know which of the two is going to happen, of course if Murderdolls is possible then we have to do that, it’s gotta be the number one priority.” He adds “It’s just talks right now. The whole Murderdolls thing, it’s the band that me and Joey put together, and right now we’re having the same conversations that we were having in the very beginning of the band, ‘What direction, what kind of music are we doing this time?’ All the small talk stuff like that, so it’s far away from getting in that room with the full band or something like that – right now we’re just trying to get a game plan together.”
In March 2010 Jordison officially revealed to Kerrang magazine that Murderdolls had officially reunited with him and Wednesday working with producer Chris “Zeuss” Harris. Jordison said about the reunion, “It’s been an ongoing conversation between Wednesday and I from 2006 until now. We were bored with everything out there, and thought we had something to piss people off and shake things up. Everything is such a product or a fucking formula these days… Fuck formula! Fuck the norm!””
It was revealed on the official website that the band would feature a new line-up, without Slade, Griffin or Graves

So if that’s right, we have the Murderdolls with Joey and Wednesday 13 from the original Murderdolls, and a new lineup from there.
