Rock on the Range is going to be absolutely amazing this year, and we will be there again to cover it.

The show is going to be in Columbus, OH on May 22nd and 23rd.

Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Three Days Grace, Limp Bizkit, Rise Against, Seether, Slash, Deftones, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, Coheed and Cambria, Theory of a Deadman, Mastadon, Killswitch Engage, Bullet for my Valentine, Puddle of Mud, Sevendust, Drowning Pool, Skillet, Apocalytpica, Halestorm, Airbourne, Mushroomhead, Adelitas Way, Helmet, Escape the Fate, Cold, Anberlin, Nonpoint, 2Cents, Violent Soho, Janus, Shaman’s Harvest, Year Long Disaster, Taddy Porter, Like a Storm, and Noise Auction.

38 bands, 3 stages, 2 days. This is the show of the year. If you aren’t here then you have no idea what you are missing. The show last year was absolutely amazing, and this year’s should be on par with last years.

I think I’m more excited about this lineup this year than I was last years, and last year had two of my all time favorite bands, Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold. So even though neither of those bands are here this year, there are tons of awesome bands that either I already know kick ass live, or they are bands that I’ve been wanting to see. I’m a little sad to see that the rumors of Stone Sour being at the show was false, but I’ll get over it.

Check us out for updates for any upcomming interviews with some of these bands. We will also be taking viewer submitted questions once we have some interviews secured.

We’ll see you there, you can check out more info on the link below.

I wanted to go last year to see Korn and Slipknot but I didn’t get a chance to go. I’m going this year.

How does this work with this many bands and 3 stages?

    • Shane

Last year there was a main stage and 2 side stages.

Both side stages were on opposite sides of the area, and a band would be playing on each stage at the same time. This sucks if you like both bands playing, but it keeps the crowds from getting too huge, and it gives you something to listen to if you think one of the bands suck.

Then when the main stage bands are playing, the side stages are setting up. So the music is almost non stop.

It’s an amazing event, and a shit load of fun.

RotR is pure bliss for those that love music and video games. Sony had a booth there so people could play free games while they looked around waiting on their favorite bands to play. If you plan on attending this event be sure to wear your best walking shoes that place is HUGE!

    Nice site.

So who are you looking forward to seeing the most? And are you guys doing any interviews or anything for this show? Any chance we can give you some questions to ask the bands?

I enjoy seeing all the bands I think the band i’m looking forward to seeing the most would be Rob Zombie, Seether, God Smack, 5FDP, and various other bands. But not in that order, and of course once I have more information on who I have interviews with, I will post those bands and you and others that surf the forums can submit questions for me ask them. I love having help with questions for the interviews.

    • Shane

      Thanks,
I’m a fan of most of the bands performing, but I’d have to say Skillet, Halestorm, FFDP, and Papa Roach. I’ve seen all but Skillet before, and they put on awesome shows, and since I started listening to Skillet’s CD, I’ve become a fan.
We should find out if we get our credentials near the end of April, then we’ll work on interviews, but yeah, we intend on doing as many interviews as possible.

We’ll post a blog for questions once we have some confirmed bands for questions that fans want to ask.

Wow I didn’t know limp bizkit was still around.
Wonder if Fred is still wearing the same red hat.

    • Shane

If it’s the same hat, I hope he washed it.

I’m with you there, I didn’t know that they were still around either. Hopefully their new stuff is better than the last album they put out.

Why can’t they have some huge shows like that down south?

    • Shane

In TN they have Bonaroo, Mayhem Fest Tours all over, Memphis in May I think has more bands than this.

I’d say Rock on the Range has the biggest number of good bands, but there are plenty of festivals all over, just keep your eyes peeled.

    • sidine

That I do not know, I would love a show close to us like that because it sucks sometimes driving and driving and driving to festivals like that. Keep an eye on the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee, the meat chunkers Gwar is suppose to be there this year (2010)
