Update

07.24.10

I have to say that the Carnival of Madness was an absolute blast, if it is comming to a town near you, then you should get off of your asses and go check it out. It was absolutely amazing. I am working on the photos as I make this post, and most of them should be online Sunday. The interviews and the show review should be up on Sunday also. It was definitely worth driving three hours on three hours of sleep.

We are already preparing for Mayhem Fest next week. Right now we know we have a Hatebreed interview, and we should have more confirmed this week as well. If you have any questions that you want us to throw into the interview, post them on our blog here. We hope to see you there.

Ratt Interview, Muderdolls Video and more

07.16.10

We have two treats for you guys today. First, our interview with Carlos Cavazo of Ratt is online. You can check it out here. It was awesome to be able to sit down with a guitar legend from both Quiet Riot and Ratt and get a chance to talk to him. He's a great guy and extremely talented. If the Scorpions/Ratt tour comes to your area, I really suggest checking them out. They may not be the youngest bands around, but they know how to kick some serious ass on stage.

Speaking of a younger band, as many of you know, the Muderdolls are back together and have a new album comming out Women and Children Last. From what little I have heard of it it's going to be just as good, if not better than their last one so many years ago. Their first video is also online now. You can find the link to it on our blog here. I absolutely love the video and the song. You really gotta check it out.

On a personal note, sorry updates have been a tad slow. We are preparing for the Carnival of Madness, Mayhem Festival, and Uproar Festival dates comming up. As we get interviews confirmed, as always we will post them on the blog so you guys can get a chance to get us to ask the questions that you want to know. I am still working on getting some of our older galleries back online the FFDP gallery is going to be absolutley huge. I'm also going to be going back through the older reviews and interviews and changing the pictures a little bit, and putting the link to the full sized ones on the page. This way if you want to see the bigger version, it's just a click away. We would also like to introduce our newest The-Voices.net team member, Joe "the Wyrm". He will be doing a little photography, some reviews, and some audio/video editing for us as soon as we have some audio and video interviews to post, which should be very soon.

07.05.10

We hope that everybody had a great 4th of July and that you got to keep all of your fingers. We are putting up the last of the RotR interviews today, as well as posting some of our lost and found interviews from the past that we thought may have been lost in a computer crash.

Rock on the Range 2010 has ended and we are getting amped for Mayhem Fest 2010 in August. The photo gallery is finally back online, it is now sorted by band instead of by show. Right now we have Skillet's and Shaman's Harvest's photos up, I will have Mushroomhead, Adelita's Way, Slipknot, FFDP, and a lot more up very soon. We have some new interviews posted as well, check them out.
We still have Adelita's Way interview, Apocolyptica's interview, and many more comming up as soon as we can get them online. As always, feel free to post what you think on the blogs, or email me your thoughts. We always love to hear from our readers.
Finally, we are toying with the idea of adding some music lyrics to the site too. Since I myself, and other's have been looking for the lyrics to Shaman's Harvests's song "Devil's Gift" I thought that I'd go ahead and post them here. When I do post lyrics of the songs that we reviewed, the links will be on the sidebar of the review for the track listing.

Paul Gray (04.08.72 - 05.24.10)

05.24.10

Paul GraySlipknot's bassist, Paul Gray died today. When Miranda told me, I was hoping that she got it wrong, or something, but from everything that I've read, it is true. He was a brilliant bassist an amazing performer, and he will forever be missed by the metal scene. This man gave his fans everything he had. We at The-Voices.net send our deepest condolances to his family, friends loved ones, and fans around the world. full article.

On other news, we have a ton of photos and interviews that we should have posted as soon as everything is ready. I will keep you guys updated as new things are finished.

Type-O Negative Frontman, Peter Steele Dies

04.18.10

On April 14th, 2010 Type-O Negative's frontman, Peter Steele died of heart failure. This man's voice and lyrics were unique, and I can't say how much I enjoyed listening to their music. We at The-Voices.net wanted to offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Peter.

On a brighter note, we are working on some new content for the site. We should have some of our new photo galleries posted soon, and a few more reviews, both new and from the old site. We have put in our credential requests for Bonaroo as well, when we get confirmation we will begin working on interviews and other coverage for the show. We'll have the blogs running for questions that you may want us to ask the bands, and if you're going to be there we would like to meet you too.
I've also noticed that some of the old .php pages are getting a lot of hits, I'm going to begin working to get those pages to auto forward to the new pages this week too. If you notice any other issues with the site please post it on the blogs and we'll try to get it handled.

Update

04.06.10

This is just a small update. I fixed a bug that I got an email about with the blogs with some funky advertisement placement. And I'm working on getting some more stuff transferred to the new format. Between computer issues, a busier than normal personal life, and everything else going on, I've had some issues with the final transfer over to the new layout. But it is comming, thanks for your support. We are working on final confirmation on credentials for Mayhem Fest and Rock on the Range. As soon as we get our confirmations we'll start working on some interview requests. As soon as those are scheduled we'll post some updates on the blog about these interviews and if you have any questions you want to ask, you'll be able to post 'em to us.
I also fixed the issue with the Joey Jordison's random quote not showing up right.

and likely, the best record company out there today, Roadrunner, has recently signed KoRn for their ninth release, "Korn III - Remember Who You Are". They say they are returning to their roots from Life is Peachy and KoRn albums. If they have returned to that style, then this upcomming album is going to blow everyone's expecations away. KoRn RRR

The wonderful, and talented Miranda is still working on her Slipknot fanfiction. It's a pretty cool story about one lucky woman and her relationship with one of the best drummers of all time, Joey Jordison. You can catch the begining here or read her latest chapter, chapter 6 here.

Update

03.15.10

This is another small update. I am working on the java coding some of the random sayings/photos to tweak it a little better. I have gotten some emails saying that some photos show up sideways when using Safari. I have no idea why that is, but we are looking into it. The photos work fine on Chrome, IE, and Firefox so it has to be a Safari thing. But I have noticed it on my iPhone also.
The photo gallery is going to be totally redone. I'm transfering all of my files from my backup hard drive now and will be reuploading them soon. This is going to be a large project so please bare with us.
I'm still in the process of updating everything but it should be finished fairly soon.
As always, we are looking for talented writers and photographers to join our crew. It can be an awesome experience. Email me or Miranda for more info.

A7X's tribute video to The Rev

02.28.10

Avenged Sevenfold has posted a tribute video to The Rev on their site. Check out the video. It gives you some great insight to the kind of person that he was. It's pretty long, but it's worth the watch.
It included one absolutely bad ass drum solo that he wrote when he was 13 years old. The man was an absolutely amazing drummer, and it shows why I consider him one of the drummer Gods.

We are working the kinks out of our new web editing program. So some of our updates are going to be slow for the next few days. As soon as everything is working properly then we should have a lot more content online. Right now I am working on getting the interviews from our past shows up.

Miranda will have the interview with Brian from Shadow's Fall up in the next few days.

I got a few emails over the past few days about our gallery being dead. I'm not positive what happened, but I will be trying to fix it as soon as possible, whether it means go with an entirely new setup for galleries, or fixing the old way.
